Controller dialog

Descriptive name of the controller.

If you use multiple controllers of the same kind, the name should make clear which particular controller instance we are talking about.

Pick a color for this controller.

This will be used e.g. for the control unit frame in Playtime.

If disabled, the controller will not have any effect.

How the controller is connected to this machine.

This preset decides how your controller will be used, i.e. what exactly it should control.

If you don’t choose any main preset or if the main preset is not compatible with your controller, the controller will not be used at all.

In general, ReaLearn will figure out the correct controller preset based on the main preset’s needs and the connected controller.

Only set this if you came up with your own controller preset and want to use that instead of the auto-detected one! Even then, ReaLearn might choose a different controller preset if your one doesn’t provide at least one of the virtual control schemes required by the main preset.
